The TW008 runs on an Automatic Japan Miyota Movement built with a high-grade anti-rust stainless steel technology for its case, paired with a Sapphire Crystal glass with a double layer anti-glare coating on the top and a transparent mineral glass cover on the back. Sapphire glass ranks number 9 on the Mohs' scale of hardness and can only be scratched by another Sapphire glass or a Diamond. Thus, it protects the dial from any damage making it very durable.
